    frapped cpe 5-20

Right, think I've got a problem. I have a local 5-20 flashed with the AP firmware which I was trying to use as a WDS bridge with another remote 5-20 unit, also flashed with the AP firmware. Never got the WDS working the way I thought it would (thats another story), but in the meantime I lost the ability to access the webpage or ping the unit after screwing with netmasks, in spite of the fact I was able to ping the other AP and access it's web page. Hmm. So i did the ping reset, took a couple of tries but it came back. Sort of...

It showed back up as a CPE, but when trying to log into it, I got a red message below the login area saying something to the effect that 192.168.2.66 was misconfigured. Couldn't get in  http or https or ssh. try another Ping reset, and now have absolutely nothing, other than a light on my switch saying the thing is alive. Deliberant Scout shows no response either.

    Any ideas?

Further to this: Ran the Scout program after trying again to reset the unit this morning, it finally came up with the unit at it's old IP address and a different MAC address from what is on the stickers. Looks like it is still hooked up to the remote AP as the scout found that radio as well.

Still cannot log into it, and will not respond to pings on any subnet I care to try.

    Help.

Send the serial number, and the conflicting mac info to me at cknauer@deliberant.net and I will take a look at it before we go digging to much further in order to make sure we are on the same page.
