Now-just to get things straight, you said "when I add my notebook, I get the IP address almost instantly".
Are you replacing the router with your notebook, ie: taking the router out of the loop and connecting your notebook directly to the 2100, or are you plugging your notebook into the router. Are you receiving an address from the router or from the upstream 192.168.0.10 server?
If your notebook is receiving an address via DHCP out of the server at .10, then perhaps the WAN side of the router is not set up to receive an address automatically via DHCP. It may have a static IP on the WAN side that isn't working correctly.
I recommend for troubleshooting purposes to follow the steps I outlined in the previous post. That way you can tell what is or is not working.
Plug directly into the 2100 with your netbook, give it an address of 192.168.0.52, 255.255.255.0 and try pinging .50, then .1 then finally .10.
Try logging into the 2100's web gui at 192.168.0.50
What kind of device is the AP at .1?
Let me know how all that goes.
