AP - 9db Yagi CPE - integrated antenna Distance - 100 to 150 yds.
I've been trying for a several months to get my pair of 900's to work. First two attempts ended as the software did wierd things. Passwords changed, 2.4 frequencies appreared instead of 900 in the configuration page, power fluctuated from max to min, etc. Now I'm giving them one last try. Going from a roof to a ham tower about 100 - 150 yards away through the tops of a single row of fir trees. It will run for a few hours or a day or so and then quits. AP shows no linked CPE's and rebooting AP does not fix. CPE shows -95 signal. If I do a power reset I get the same indications. If I log into the CPE and reboot, the signal level goes to the low 80's and communications starts up again for another few hours or a day. I'm running the 5.24 firmware in both AP and CPE. Concerns: 1) I'm close and signal level should be better. 2.) Software/Firmware is definitely flakey. A watchdog timer would help. It's not a fix but it would help.
